066 BLUE BATH
OSLO – Our client, in doubt about the scale of her humble project, approached us with the nicest of briefs: can you please make me a beautiful bathroom?
The bathroom was due to the window bright and airy, but in need of an upgrade. The floor tiles had started to crack, the paint was starting to bubble and full renovations of all surfaces was necessary. The bathtub should be changed to a shower and moved from away from the window. There should also be space for a new washing machine and all remedies a fine lady needs readily at hand after a hot shower.
Our answer was to, after tearing out everything including all surfaces, install floor heating, find a calming greenish-blue pallette for the walls, floor and ceiling and to add a built-in-place walnut and valchromat furniture partly cald in linoleum that handles all the rest.
All taps are from Vola. All lighting – except the Arne Jacobsen pendulum – is integrated. The welle-glass shower wall adds excitement to the small room by making it some what less obviously see-through.
